Muzio Clementi was an Italian piano virtuoso and composer. Born in Rome 1752 and died in England 1832. At the age of 9 did he received an duty as organist in a competition among adults. From the age of 14 did he study in England. In 1770 did he in London make a sensational debut as a pianist and composer. In the 3 piano sonata in 1773 he shows his big talant. In 1781 did he begun touring across Europe and toke great part of his life. In Vienna in a famous competition between him and Mozart did both of them play the piano so extremely well that the emporor of Austria declared the competition as a tie (draw).
Clementi lived most of his life in London there he had his home and worked as a piano teacher. Owned his own music store and piano factory.

As an composer, Clementi was very comprehensive and productive. His most influence was among all the piano pieces he composed. The most famous one is the teaching of Piano technique "Gradus ad Parnassum. He did lay the foundation of the new technique and with all right of the name he was called the Father of the modern piano play.

*Sonatina C-dur op. 36:1
